Certification for Green Building
I am thrilled to see the awareness that is growing toward environmental responsibility. I have noticed this especially in the construction industry. The GBCI, Green Building Certification Institute, offers the LEED professional certification and a green building rating system. To become certified, a member of the construction industry must become familiar with the LEED rating system and have a standard of professional excellence. The leed exam is offered in two parts. Passing Tier I gives you a certification as a green associate, and Tier II makes you an accredited professional. The focus of this certification is on green building design, construction, and maintenance.
