Not Going On Holiday – Try Some Garden Toys Instead
As part of our cost cutting drive this year we decided to holiday at home. After sitting around in the garden for a couple of hours the kids were starting to get restless, and that meant that my wife couldn’t relax. I realised I was going to have to spend some money and get in some entertainment if I was going to avert a disaster. I didn’t go mad but I did get in a selection of garden toys like sack racing, giant darts and garden quoits. It was an inspired decision and we ended up having one of our best family holidays ever – without leaving home. Just the four of us, relaxed, playing games in our garden – it was heaven. The simple pleasures sometimes really are the best and we all feel closer as a family for our week in the garden.
