Every year I like to give interesting projects to my kids for them to do, at least I try my best to make them interesting, because if they are interested in doing them, then they tend to actually want to learn while doing them. That being said, this year I have set out to have my kids do some stuff where they need to find some fun facts about chocolate because I am really interested to see what in the world they can come up with. It is always fun to see who can come up with the most unique facts.

Cold Pressure welding is a form of solid state welding carried out at ambient temperatures. Trumpet Records was the first to record Elmore James in nearby Jackson in January 1951, first as sideman to the second Sonny Boy Williamson and also to their mutual friend Wille Love, later he debutet as a session leader with “Dust My Broom”. It was a big R&B hit in 1952 and turned James into a rising star, prompting him to break his contract with Trumpet Records to sign up with the Bihari Brothers through the famous Ike Turner, who played guitar and piano on a couple of James’ early Bihari recordings. With “I Believe” he had another hit a year later. During the 1950s he recorded for the Bihari Brothers’ Flair Records, Meteor Records and Modern Records labels, as well as for the unbelievably successful Chess Records and Mel London’s Chief Records for whom “It Hurts Me Too” was a hit.

One day I was on my way to the big city when I noticed a huge funny t shirts display on the side of the road. It was so big I could not believe it as it took up the entire intersection. The man running it said he loved selling funny t shirts and that it was a passion of his ever since he was a child. He had worn funny t shirts for as long as he could remember so that is why it was just so natural for him to start making and selling funny shirts along side the road. He wanted to earn enough money to open up an actual shop one day. It was his goal to earn enough money selling funny t shrits by the end of the year to be able to afford rent on a nice big building. I hope he makes his dream because he had some really funny shirts for sale. I even bought a few and have since told my friends and family about his t shirt stand along side the road. I love the t shirts that I got from him, they are very funny and people always laugh when I wear them.

It has been my experience that when I get together with my husband’s friends and their wives, I do not always enjoy their company. It is also hard when the kids don’t get along. It really puts a strain on our whole family relationship. I recently found a great social networking website where I found several couples in our local area for Parent Dating. I signed up to try it for free, and within a short time, there were all kinds of couples I found that share our interests. Not just my interests, but my husband’s and my children’s interests. We had a big cook out recently and invited three of the couples we found. They were all a match for us, and we are planning our next “date” this weekend.

Ok, like most women out there, I love my jewelry. A ring here or there and a delicate necklace goes along with almost any kind of outfit I can come up with. But this whole deal with anniversary rings? I mean, yes, their small and pretty, but do we really need them? I find very few of them to be elegant enough to go with my wedding bands. Also, my fingers are long and very thin. So having multiple rings end up not looking like the seller intends them to look. For my anniversary I’d rather get an upgrade on a diamond that I already have, or maybe some earings or tennis bracelet.
