Bikes: Reducing your Carbon Footprint

These days, everyone is getting really conscious about taking care of the environment and what better way to reduce your carbon footprint than riding bikes. Bikes or bicycles have been around for quite some time. Bikes are a common mode of transportation that’s considered to be very economical. The number of bikes in the world is twice as that of automobiles. Other than for tranportation, bikes are used for many different reasons. It’s considered by many as a sport while some use it for exercise. When women were able to ride bikes, it was considered to be a freedom machine as it allowed them to go from one place to another independently. Over the years, bikes have transformed through technology but its basic shape and over-all look remains the same. Bikes became less popular when the automobile was invented but recent trends are pointing towards using bikes again.
